Umberto is an excellent host and provided us with great recs (try the local taco shack in San Miguel!) and an awesome breakfast, as well as booking our trip for us to Tikal which was brilliant. He has created a very special space, waking up to freshly brewed coffee and the sound of howler monkeys will not soon be forgotten! We look forward to returning one day.

J'ai tout de suite été subjuguée par le lieu et le personnage. Umberto est discrètement présent et toujours prêt à rendre service. Je me souviendrai longtemps des petits déjeuners qu'il m'a concoctés et reviendrai volontiers pour goûter aux autres plats et boissons. Auf wiedersehen!

Umberto was so helpful making us delicious food, booking our tour to Tikal and giving all kinds of recommendations. The living is tight in such a small space and for two people you need to be very organised with belongings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed being in the nature, away from the noise of Flores. It’s easy and quick to get to Flores; 5 minutes boat and 10 minutes walk.

He offered convenient and healthy meals, which came in handy on days I had early starts or did... read more not want to go into town. Hummingbirds flitted in the garden constantly and sounds of other birds colored the air. The airbnb had the perfect amount of seclusion and proximity to Flores for me. The house's modern design and upscale amenities were very appealing. I enjoyed being able to cook my own meals in the kitchen.

The only thing I would note was the smell of cigarette smoke on the furniture when I first arrived. Thankfully, Umberto had aromatic incense available to use during my stay. Also, the "hot" shower was also less warm and than I would have liked, but it wasn't a big issue given the hot climate.
